Intermediate Lesson 8 of 11

multi-agent system

Several agents, each with its own job, working together on one task.

Instead of one agent doing everything, a multi-agent system splits the work between specialists. One might research, another write, another check the result. A coordinating agent often hands out the work and combines the answers. This can improve quality, but adds cost and more places for errors to pass between agents.

Think of it as

Like a newsroom: a reporter gathers facts, an editor shapes the story, and a fact-checker signs it off.

Example

A bank's loan desk uses three agents. One reads the application, one checks the documents against the rules, and one drafts the decision letter. A loan officer reviews the final letter.
