agent framework
the scaffolding for building and running AI agents
An agent framework is a toolkit that handles the plumbing of building AI agents — calling the model, giving it tools, managing steps and memory, wiring several agents together — so builders write the logic, not the machinery. Google's Agent Development Kit (ADK) is one such framework; Mantis's reference harness is built on it, but the makers note it can be ported to other frameworks.
