emotion recognition

AI that infers people's emotions from their face, voice or body

Emotion recognition systems use biometric data, such as facial expressions or voice, to guess what a person feels or intends. The EU AI Act treats them as sensitive. They are banned at work and in schools, and elsewhere people must be told when such a system is used on them.
